Genuine MAN air distributor pipe for the D2848 LE422, 570 mm long and 3 kg. This is the charge-air distribution manifold: it takes air from the intercooler and divides it between the cylinders, and how evenly it does that determines whether every cylinder gets the same charge. Uneven distribution does not announce itself as a fault — it appears as one cylinder running hotter than its neighbours on an exhaust temperature check, which is why those readings are taken per cylinder on engines of this size.
