About this part

Another exhaust bracket. Where a bracket is fitted between a hot component and a cold one, it also conducts heat between them — which is why some exhaust brackets are deliberately thin at one section rather than uniformly stiff. Replacing such a bracket with something heavier moves heat where it was not meant to go.
