About this part

Genuine MAN inner sleeve for the exhaust manifold on the D2842 LE443. Inner components in a manifold joint carry exhaust gas at full temperature with no cooling of their own, which makes them the first thing to deteriorate in the assembly. They are catalogued separately because renewing them restores the joint without replacing the castings — an economical repair provided the sections themselves are sound. Inspect the mating faces in the sections while the inner parts are out, since that is the only time they are visible and they decide whether the repair holds.
