Genuine MAN flywheel for the D2842 LE443, the 21.9-litre V12. Flywheels on engines of this size are substantial masses, and handling them is a real consideration rather than a footnote: dropping one damages the machined faces and the ring teeth, and a flywheel with a damaged mounting face cannot be trued in situ. Use the tapped holes provided for handling where they exist, and support the weight properly during removal rather than taking it on the bolts as they come out. On a V12 the flywheel is also the component that has to come off before most rear-end work, which makes the handling question one that arises often. A flywheel dropped on its ring teeth is usually scrap, which makes the handling gear cheaper than the risk it removes.
