Genuine MAN flywheel with its starter ring gear fitted, for the D2868 LE433. Supplied with the ring already in place, which removes the one operation in a flywheel replacement that needs equipment most workshops do not have: the ring is an interference fit, heated to expand it and dropped onto the flywheel rim to shrink into place, and getting the temperature wrong either fails to seat it or destroys its hardness. Buying the assembly avoids that entirely. Where a flywheel is otherwise sound and only the ring teeth are damaged, the ring alone is the cheaper route — but it is specialist work rather than a bench job, and the difference in price narrows once labour is counted. Where the flywheel itself is being renewed anyway, the assembled version removes a variable from a job that already has several.
