MAN supplies a 6.2 x 12 mm spacer here, 46.5 mm long, turned from free-cutting steel. Nearly eight times its bore in length, it spaces two widely separated points — and it will bend if it is not supported while the fastener is started. Slide it into place through the component rather than offering it up from one side.
