Genuine MAN exhaust valve seat ring for the D2842 LE443, companion to the intake ring 51.03203-0374 and marginally the smaller of the two. Exhaust seats have the harder duty: the valve closes onto them every cycle carrying heat it can shed only through that contact, so pitting, wear and valve recession appear there first. When a head comes off with one cylinder down on compression, the exhaust seat deserves inspection before piston rings or the head gasket are blamed.
