Genuine MAN power cable for the D2842 LE443. Terminal crimping is where power cables are most often compromised: a crimp made with pliers instead of the correct tool looks adequate and has a fraction of the contact area. The joint then heats under load, oxidises, and its resistance rises further. Where a terminal has to be replaced, the correct crimp tool is worth borrowing, and a soldered joint in a vibrating engine room is not an improvement on a proper crimp.
