Genuine MAN power cable for the D2842 LE443. On a marine installation the return path deserves the same attention as the supply: a corroded earth connection produces exactly the symptoms of a failing supply cable, and it is checked the same way, with a voltage drop measurement under load. Engine earth straps are among the most neglected components in an engine room and among the easiest to test. A dedicated earth strap, checked and cleaned once a season, removes an entire category of intermittent electrical fault.
