Genuine MAN heat exchanger assembly for the D2840 LE301, the V10. A complete assembly rather than a bundle is the right purchase where the shell or end covers have corroded rather than only the tubes — which on an older installation is common, since the shell is exposed to the same environment and is not protected by the anodes inside. Inspect the shell and the end covers before deciding: a new bundle fitted into a corroded shell solves half the problem and leaves the other half to appear a season later. The gaskets and end cover seals are renewed either way. An assembly also arrives with its internal anodes correctly fitted, which is a detail easily overlooked when a bundle alone is being installed.
