Genuine MAN pump drive shaft for the D2840 LE301, 560 grams and 112 mm — the shortest in this group. Short, stiff shafts are used where the drive is close-coupled, and they are less tolerant of misalignment than a longer one would be. Where such a shaft has failed, check the alignment of the housings at both ends before fitting a replacement. Misalignment also shortens the life of the seal, so both are worth checking while the pump is apart.
