Genuine MAN V-belt guard for the D2848 LE422. Where an engine has been worked on repeatedly, guards accumulate damage: bent flanges, elongated mounting holes, missing fasteners. Each individually seems tolerable and collectively they produce a guard that rattles, chafes and eventually detaches. Replacing a guard that has reached that state is inexpensive and restores a component whose job only matters at the moment it is needed. Replacing the mounting hardware alongside the guard is worth doing, since elongated holes and tired fasteners are usually what let it move in the first place.
