D0836 LE4.. is the catalogue entry for the marine LE4xx versions. MAN rated the LE401 at 331 kW (450 hp) at 2,600 rpm for light duty and the LE402 at 265 kW (360 hp) at 2,400 rpm for medium duty. Both use a Bosch VP44 distributor pump with EDC control; the operating instructions give 0.50 mm intake and 0.60 mm exhaust valve clearance and 30 litres of oil with the filter.
