The intercooler with the elbows bolted directly to it, mostly on D2842 LE4xx, D2876 and the E2842, E2848 and E3268 gas engines. Elbows are titled "from intercooler" and "to intercooler", meaning the outlet and inlet sides, and these are not interchangeable. Water space covers, a carrier and bracket, gaskets, a lifting eye, an extension tube and long 10.9 bolts (up to M10 x 150) complete it.

Some joints here are sealed with gaskets and one with Loctite SI 5970 silicone sealant, sold in 50 ml tubes; follow the drawing rather than substituting one method for the other.
