Genuine MAN drive gear for the high-pressure pump on the D2862 LE463, LE422 and D2868 LE433. Fitting a drive gear correctly matters beyond the gear itself: it has to run true on its shaft, and a gear drawn onto a marked or fretted seat, or installed without the proper tooling, runs with a small eccentricity that loads teeth unevenly on every revolution. The resulting wear appears across the train , and not at the gear that caused it, which makes the fault difficult to trace afterwards. Inspect the shaft seat for fretting before the new gear goes on, use the correct puller and installer rather than improvising, and confirm the timing marks align before the case is closed. Checking marks costs a minute; discovering the error afterwards costs the entire access again.
