Genuine MAN filter element for the D2862 LE463 and LE422. Element media is directional on some designs, with an inlet and an outlet side, and fitting one the wrong way round is possible on certain housings. Where an element has an orientation mark, it is there for that reason. It is worth checking during fitting , and not after, since the resulting symptom — reduced filtration, or in some designs a restriction — is not obvious from outside the housing.
