About this part
Genuine MAN fuel line for the D2842 LE443 and D2848 LE422, 12 x 1.5 mm, zinc-plated. Union nuts on a formed steel line are tightened to seal a metal cone against its seat, and the temptation when a joint weeps is to tighten further. That is the wrong direction: past a point the cone deforms and the seat is damaged, and the joint then cannot be made to seal at any torque. Where a union weeps at the specified figure, the fault is in the faces rather than in the tightening.
