Genuine MAN fuel line for the D2842 LE443, 12 x 1.5 mm, zinc-plated. Steel rather than copper is the material here, and the distinction matters if a substitute is ever contemplated. Copper work-hardens under vibration and eventually cracks, which is why it has largely disappeared from engine fuel pipework despite being easier to form. A steel line in the right specification is doing a job copper cannot do for long in a marine engine room, whatever the appearance of an old installation might suggest.
