Genuine MAN fuel line for the D2842 LE443, 12 x 1.5 mm, zinc-plated. Union nuts want a flare-nut spanner rather than an open-ended one. The nut is thin-walled and soft relative to the force needed to free a joint that has been undisturbed for years, and an open jaw rounds it — after which the only routes left are a cut and a replacement fitting, or a damaged line. The correct spanner costs very little and is the difference between a straightforward job and an improvised one.
