Genuine MAN fuel line for the D2848 LE422, 12 x 1.5 mm, zinc-plated. Plated lines deserve one piece of care that unplated ones do not: the coating is thin, and dragging the line across a bulkhead edge or gripping it in serrated pliers during fitting breaks through it. Corrosion then starts at that point instead of spreading uniformly, which is why a plated line that has failed early usually shows a discrete patch instead of general deterioration. Handle it by the ends and route it into place without levering.
