Genuine MAN restrictor for the D2848 LE422, 43 grams and 28 mm long. A restrictor sets a flow rate by its orifice, which means it is a calibrated component despite looking like a fitting. Fitting one with a different orifice — or, worse, drilling one out to cure a suspected blockage — changes the balance of whatever circuit it serves, usually at the expense of something downstream. Keep the original until the new one is proven, so there is something to compare against.
