Genuine MAN fuel prefilter with water trap in the flameproof specification, for the D2848 LE422. Two specifications combined: the water trap does the work that protects the injection equipment, and the flameproof construction determines where the assembly may be installed. The second is set by the vessel's classification rather than by preference, and it is worth establishing which applies before ordering — a standard prefilter is a perfectly good filter and may be an unacceptable installation.
