Genuine MAN high-pressure injection line for cylinder 3 of the D2840 LE301. Label lines by cylinder as they come off. The numbers stamped on them corrode and the differences between adjacent cylinders are small — a few centimetres of length, a slightly different bend — so identification after the fact is guesswork. A paint marker and thirty seconds during removal prevents an afternoon of trial fitting. Photographs help too, particularly of how the lines cross each other, which is the part nobody reconstructs correctly from memory.
