Genuine MAN high-pressure injection line for cylinder 8 of the D2840 LE301. Clamp blocks on these engines carry several lines together, and the rubber or plastic inserts in them perish with age and heat. Replacing lines and reusing hardened inserts leaves the lines gripped rigidly, which transmits vibration into the tube instead of damping it. The inserts are inexpensive and are a routine part of the same job. Check every insert while the lines are off, since they are invisible once the assembly is back together.
