The mounting for a pressure pipe neck. It holds the neck against the reaction of the fuel pressure, so a loose or missing mounting lets the connection work and eventually leak. Check the mounting is present and tight whenever an injector is refitted. The mounting takes the reaction of the fuel pressure at the connection.
