Genuine MAN injection line set for cylinders 5 and 6 of the D2848 LE422. On a V8 the lines cross the vee, which puts them directly above the hottest part of the engine and close to the turbocharger. That position is why their clamping and their heat shielding both matter, and why any shielding removed during previous work should be restored. A line radiating heat from a nearby exhaust component ages faster than its neighbours.
