Genuine MAN splash shield for the pressure relief valve on the D2842 LE443. Oil leaving a relief valve leaves fast, and the shield's job is to direct that discharge instead of letting it blast straight into the oil standing in the sump or onto whatever sits next to it. Because nothing leaks when the shield is missing, it is one of the easier pieces to leave out at reassembly — the effect shows up in oil condition rather than in anything immediately visible.
