Genuine MAN oil cooler seal for the D2862 LE463. Fitting a seal correctly is mostly about the surfaces it works against rather than about the seal itself: a groove that still holds fragments of the old seal, a face with a scratch across it, or a housing distorted by previous over-tightening will defeat a new seal regardless of its quality. Clean the groove properly, inspect the face under good light, and check the housing sits flat before assembly. Where a joint has leaked repeatedly despite new seals, the fault is almost always in the surfaces rather than in the parts being fitted. A light smear of clean oil on the seal at assembly helps it seat without rolling, which is a common cause of an immediate leak.
