Genuine MAN radial shaft seal, 40 x 72 x 7 mm, in nitrile rubber, for the D2862 LE463 and LE422. The NBR designation places this seal in a different service from the ACM and PTFE seals elsewhere on these engines — nitrile handles water, coolant and moderate temperatures well and is less suited to sustained contact with hot engine oil. That is why material codes matter on seals of identical dimensions, and why a seal that fits perfectly can still be the wrong specification for the position.
