Genuine MAN seal for the changeover valve on the D2862 LE463 and LE422. A changeover valve allows one of two parallel components — most commonly filters — to be isolated and serviced while the other carries the flow, which is exactly the arrangement that lets a filter be changed at sea. The seal in it is what keeps the two paths separated, and a leak past it means the isolated side is not actually isolated. Renew it when the valve is serviced rather than testing the assumption.
