Genuine MAN idler gear for the D2862 LE463, D2862 LE422 and D2868 LE433, replaced by 51.11306-0047. An idler changes neither speed nor torque — it exists to bridge a distance between two gears and to set their direction of rotation. That makes it the least noticed part of a gear train and one of the most consequential, because its bearing or bush carries the full separating load of two meshes at once.
