Genuine MAN rocker arm bearing box for the D2842 LE443 and D2848 LE422, weighing almost 5 kg. The bearing box carries the rocker shaft above the cylinder head and locates every rocker on it, which makes its bores a wear point that determines valve geometry across the whole head. Oil reaches the rockers through this casting, so a blocked drilling here starves several rockers at once — a fault that presents as noise long before anything seizes.
