About this part

Genuine MAN exhaust valve for the D2842 LE443. Where an engine uses two exhaust valves per cylinder, both are opened through a single crosshead, and they only share the load evenly if that crosshead is square and its contact faces unworn. A tilted crosshead opens one valve further than the other, and the one left slightly open is the one that burns. Inspect the crosshead and its guide whenever exhaust valves are being replaced on these engines.
