About this part

Genuine MAN intake valve for the D2862 LE422, the current number in place of 51.04101-0586. Intake valves are the easier of the two to judge by eye, but that is deceptive: the wear that matters is dimensional, in stem diameter and in how true the seating face runs to the stem. Both need measuring. A valve that looks clean can still be bent by a few hundredths, which is enough to keep it off its seat on one side and start the cycle of local overheating.

Supplied new, in the manufacturer’s packaging, with our warranty of up to 24 months.
