Genuine MAN main bearing shells in the standard size for the D2866 LE401. The size is determined by the crankshaft and not by the engine: journals are reclaimed by grinding, and each shell size corresponds to a specific amount of material removed. Standard shells belong on a shaft that has never been ground. Fitting them to a reground journal leaves the clearance too large, oil pressure falls, and the film that carries the load breaks down. Read the size stamped on the crankshaft web before ordering.
