About the MAN D2866 LE401

The LE401 is a marine D2866, documented in MAN's repair manual for the LE401 to LE405, which describes the waste gate of the LE4.. engines as maintenance-free. Its list has the marine cooling side in full: heat exchanger assemblies 51.06101-7161 and -7162, tube bundle 51.06109-0041, water-cooled exhaust elbows, impellers and raw water pumps 51.06500-7023, -7024 and -7034. Gearbox mounts and a gearbox are listed on the driveline side.

Nearly all of these numbers are also in the LE402/LE403/LE405 list, which adds a few raw water pumps, impellers, vibration dampers and PTO hydraulic pumps. For the raw water pump the engine number matters more than the designation: the same manual shows the earlier pump up to engine no. 8120 999 and double pumps from no. 8121 001.
