Genuine MAN thrust washer set at the second repair stage for the D2866 E. Washers slide into their recesses with the crankshaft in position, which is fiddly work in a confined space and is where they get dropped into the sump. Fishing one out afterwards is straightforward; not noticing that it went in is not. Count them in and count them out, and confirm each is properly seated before the cap is fitted.
