Genuine MAN intake valve seat ring for the D2866 E, 61.31 mm. Oversize by 0.20 mm on the outside diameter, this goes into a head whose intake seat recesses have been recut. A seat ring that loses its grip in service is among the worse things that can happen to a cylinder head: it works loose, lifts, and the valve then strikes it. That risk is the reasoning behind so tight a fit and behind the oversize steps existing at all — a ring has to stay put for the life of the head.
