Genuine MAN alternator rotor for the D2862 LE463, D2862 LE422 and D2868 LE433, 3.7 kg. Before condemning a rotor, measure the field winding's resistance across the slip rings and check it to earth — an open winding, a shorted turn and an earth fault all give different readings and all present as "not charging" at the panel. That test takes a multimeter and a few minutes, and it separates a rotor fault from a regulator or rectifier fault before any part is bought.
