Genuine MAN coolant pump seal for the D2866 LE401. When a pump is opened for a seal, the bearing is exposed and its condition is worth assessing ; assumption is what catches people out — spin it by hand and feel for roughness, and check for any play in the shaft. A bearing that is beginning to fail will consume the new seal quickly, because the shaft movement it allows is exactly what a face seal cannot tolerate. Doing the seal alone on a pump with a tired bearing is work done twice.
