Genuine MAN coolant pump seal for the D2866 LE401. After a seal replacement, the system has to be refilled and bled properly before the engine is loaded — and a pump that has been dry should be turned by hand first so that the seal faces are not spun dry at the moment of starting. Face seals depend on a film of coolant between them, and the first seconds of a dry start are where a correctly fitted seal is most easily damaged.
