About this part
Genuine MAN two-rib banded V-belt for the D2866 E, now supplied as 51.96820-0291. A Powerband is several V-belts joined by a common backing, which stops individual belts whipping or jumping out of their grooves under the pulsating load a diesel accessory drive produces. It also has to be fitted as one unit: a banded belt cannot be replaced strand by strand, and the pulley alignment matters more than it does with single belts.
