About this part
Genuine MAN piston cooling nozzle for the D2862 LE463 and D2868 LE433, now supplied as 51.01601-5111. The nozzle sprays oil at the underside of the piston crown, which is how a turbocharged diesel keeps its pistons within their temperature limit at full load. Aim is everything: a nozzle knocked out of alignment during a rebuild sprays past the piston, and the piston it should have been cooling is the one that fails.
