Genuine MAN control sleeve for the D2866 LE401, 17 grams, now supplied as 51.11119-0005. The control sleeve rotates the plunger to vary the effective stroke, which is how a pump of this type meters fuel — the plunger's helix and the sleeve together decide how much is delivered on each stroke. Wear here shows as cylinders that no longer deliver equally. Uneven delivery shows as rough running at low load, which is easy to attribute to injectors instead.
