Genuine MAN high-pressure injection line for cylinder 2 of the D2866 E. Each cylinder has its own line because each has a different distance from the pump, and the length of a high pressure line affects injection timing at that cylinder — the pressure wave takes a measurable time to travel. Lines are therefore matched to position by design, and fitting cylinder 3's line to cylinder 2 changes when that cylinder receives its fuel.
