Genuine MAN camshaft for the D2842 LE102 to LE104, LE602, LE604, LE606 and LE607 builds. Sourcing for older build ranges is worth settling before the engine is opened. Camshafts for legacy marine builds are not stocked in the depth that current models are, and a shaft that turns out to be on extended lead time after the engine is already in pieces converts a planned job into an indefinite one. Confirm availability against the specific build designation first. Where the shaft proves difficult, a specialist reconditioner is sometimes an option for the rest of the valvetrain even though the camshaft itself cannot be reground — the hardened lobe surface rules that out, whatever else can be saved.
