About this part

Genuine MAN intake rocker shaft for the D2842 LE443 and D2848 LE422, 366 grams. Intake and exhaust shafts are separate parts on this engine and differ in weight, so they are not interchangeable despite looking similar in the hand. Oil reaches the rockers through drillings in the shaft, and those drillings have to line up with the brackets on assembly — a shaft fitted rotated will starve the rockers while everything appears correctly torqued.
