Genuine MAN main bearing shells in the normal size with a 0.10 mm step, for the D2866 LE401 and D2866 E. The small intermediate step exists because a crankshaft that is only slightly worn can be brought back into tolerance with a light grind, preserving far more material than a jump to the first repair stage would. A shaft at this step has plenty of life left, which is useful information when weighing a rebuild against a replacement.
