About this part
Genuine MAN flexible impeller for a raw water pump, and the number now supplied where the impeller 50.06506-0073 was previously fitted. When fitting a new impeller, the direction of vane curvature has to match the pump's rotation — vanes bent the wrong way will pump briefly, then tear. Lubricate it for assembly with something water-compatible rather than with oil or grease, both of which attack the elastomer over time. Fit the cover with a new gasket while the pump is open, since the old one has already been compressed once.
