Genuine MAN oil trap insert for the D2842 LE443 and D2848 LE422, 86 grams, superseded by 51.01807-0004. The insert is the element that does the separating, and it is a service item: it loads up with oil and with the products of combustion blowing past the rings, and a clogged insert is the commonest reason a ventilation system stops working. Renew it on schedule rather than on symptom. The interval is in the engine's service schedule, and it is one of the items most often skipped.
